Qualification Criteria

Every partner is evaluated across six weighted categories. Meeting these standards protects our clients, your reputation, and the integrity of the network.

Licensing & Regulatory Compliance

20%
  • Active business license / registration in the state of Florida
  • Florida commercial pesticide / limited lawn & ornamental applicator license (where chemical applications are performed)
  • GI-BMP (Green Industries Best Management Practices) certification for fertilizer application
  • Compliance with county and municipal ordinances in the service territory
  • Any trade-specific certifications (ISA Certified Arborist, irrigation, etc.) where applicable

Insurance & Risk Transfer

20%
  • Commercial General Liability coverage (minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence recommended)
  • Commercial Auto liability coverage
  • Workers’ Compensation coverage for all crew members
  • Ability to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) on request
  • Ability to name clients / Canopy Grounds Group as additional insured

Operational Capacity

20%
  • Sufficient crews and equipment to service commercial-scale properties
  • Documented current utilization and available capacity for new contracts
  • Ability to handle the maximum contract size relevant to routed opportunities
  • Financial stability to operate on commercial net-30 payment terms
  • Professional back-office: invoicing, scheduling, and account management

Service Profile & Responsiveness

  • Clearly defined service radius and counties served
  • Verticals served (HOA/CDD, commercial, institutional, retail, industrial)
  • Documented response-time commitment / service-level standards
  • Breadth of services (maintenance, irrigation, tree/canopy, enhancements, storm response)

Track Record & Safety

15%
  • Verifiable commercial references and notable current clients
  • Documented safety record and, where available, EMR rating
  • Years in business and demonstrated commercial experience
  • No pattern of unresolved complaints or contract terminations for cause

Integrity & Workforce Compliance

10%
  • Consent to background verification of the business and principals
  • E-Verify / lawful workforce compliance
  • Acceptance of program terms, code of conduct, and quality standards
